My Summer Obsessions

3 min read

It’s July 14th, which means we are already half way through the summer. Yeah, I’m rolling my eyes too. Seriously though, where has all the time gone!? I swear it was just last week, when I was waving goodbye to all of my college friends and moving out. Okay, now I’m just rambling. Let’s get to the point. This is a list of my  current summertime favorites, because… who doesn’t like being introduced to new things!?

HP Sprocket

I’m pretty sure 78% of my phone’s battery life goes to taking pictures on a daily basis. Whether it’s on snapchat, Instagramor my regular camera roll, I’m constantly snapping pictures of well… everything! And because I love taking pictures so much, I invested in this little device. The HP Sproket is a portable printer that makes printing photos so much more convenient. I’m able to  give them to my friends and keep a few for myself. Plus, you can easily peel off the backing and it instantly becomes a sticker!

Truth Hurts by Lizzo

When I tell you I personally felt every verse of this song, I am not playing. So, let me put y’all on. ‘Truth Hurts’ is an absolute banger and it has been on replay this entire summer. I’ll be honest, I listened to this song 4 times while writing this post. There’s no shame. So, y’all can catch me cruising down Altama (if you know, you know) with my radio on 100 and screaming “I put the SINNNNG in SINGLE!” to the top of my lungs.

Fossil Watch

I hate being late. lol yes, I am one of those people. I am detail oriented and if I say I’m leaving at 10:36 a.m., I AM leaving at 10:36 a.m. on the dot! And I’ll be mad at anyone or anything that prevents me from leaving on time. So, I have this cute little watch. It’s one of the only watches I own, but I’m in love with it because gets the job done, it’s simplistic, and it’s PINK!

All in All Journaling Devotional

One of my goals for 2019, was to build my relationship with God. This summer I have been committing to my daily devotional, and it’s changed my perspective about a lot of things. This devotional asks a few thought provoking questions and allows me to write out my feelings. The All in All Devotional by Sarah Hudson talks about the good, bad, and the ugly but through it all, its made me a stronger person.

The bachelorette

If you aren’t watching this show, what are you doing? This is the first season of The Bachelorette I’ve ever watched and it’s because of Hannah B. Although she was 2018’s Miss Alabama, Hannah Brown was first introduced to me in the last season of The Bachelor. Hannah is an adventurous southern belle with a  contagious personality. This drama filled season has it’s ups and downs, but it’s all apart of Hannah’s journey in finding someone who will “love her fiercely.”

Blessed + Bossed Up

While scrolling through probably about a hundred accounts on Instagram, I came across Temia Tatum’s profile. This click lead me to her Podcast entitled Blessed + Bossed Up. And suddenly I found myself listening to her podcast, “Who Told You That?”, at 4 o’clock in the morning.  With 100+ episodes, Temia has empowered women, and help strengthen their faith in God.

Ray Ban AViators

You can’t go all summer without a good pair of shades. I mean.. it’s SUMMER TIME! Even though the sun has been beating me like a dead horse every time I step foot outside, there’s not much I can do about that. But, I CAN protect my eyes from those sun rays, by wearing the only pair of shades that actually look good on me (no exaggeration).

  1. I enjoyed your posts on photo displays. I like photography and I like the different ways you showed me how to display them. Keep on doing the great work you are doing.

  2. I love all your summer obsessions but my favorite is the HP Sprocket. I take so many pictures that my phone keeps running low on space 🙂 This would be awesome. I’m going to check it out. Thank you for your summer suggestions.

  3. Thanks for the HP plug!! That’s so dope, I’ve been wanting something similar to this for a while now! Love your article!!
