My Fall Obsessions

4 min read

Fall is finally upon us 🙂 … or if you live in Southeast Georgia, false Fall! Where the mornings are cool, so you put on a sweater and by noon you’re in the hospital because you’ve had a heat stroke. 😀 But whether you’re  enjoying the cool or sweating out your perm, you can still enjoy the items that I’m obsessed with this fall.

I included links to the products, so feel free to click on the titles!

If y’all are looking for a lip gloss that’s cute and lasts all day, stop searching. At $18, this lip bomb is a little pricey, but it’s definitely worth it. Let me tell y’all, I put this lipgloss to the test. I ate an entire double bacon cheeseburger, a small order of  funnel cake fries, and drank a Sprite and my lips were still shinin’ bright like a diamond. 😉

WHO HURT YOU? BY DANIEL CEASER

"Take me back to Georgia, back to Atlanta
Funny how present turns past"

I’ll be honest, I was never a huge fan of poetry until I came across the author Rupi Kaur. Her first book Milk & Honey went viral and after seeing a few samples of her poems on the internet, I had to get my hands on the book. I initially read the book a few years ago, but when I reread it this past summer I was able to relate to it on a more personal level. This lead to my discovery of  The Sun and Her Flowers, a sequel to Milk and Honey. I personally love Rupi Kaur’s writing style. Her poems are simplistic, but the imagery is powerful. Rupi also writes in all lowercase letters, which I found interesting because it is a reference to her culture.

Euphoria

I don’t know about y’all, but the last time I saw Zendaya on the screen was on Shake It Up. And let me tell you, her character has changed a lot. The show follows teenage girl Rue, a recovering drug addict, and her group of friends. If y’all don’t do anything else this fall, WATCH this show.  🙂 You can thank me later.

Indignation tells the story of Mariah, a college student, and the events following the murder of her boyfriend. Written by Anthony “Fresh” Taylor,  this intense and tragic murder mystery leaves readers with a sense of uneasiness as they turn the page.  Mariah and her friends take it upon themselves to investigate the details, and discover the true reason behind her boyfriend’s death.

Fresh is also a friend of mine, who graduated from Armstrong State University in 2017. His story brings new meaning to the word perseverance, and publishing this book is a major accomplishment

I’ve low-key been trying to find a charging stand for my Apple Watch, since I bought it. One day during one of my random trips to Target, I was looking through their newest HEYDAY collection when I came across this  charger stand. It was exactly what I had been looking for, small, cute, and inexpensive! You can purchase it, here

Y’all I have been looking for a good exfoliator for a while, and I finally found it. The most important thing that should be noted, is that it actually exfoliates and removes dead skin. Honey has plenty of benefits for skin and the best one being a boost for your complexion. I mean… who doesn’t want a nice even skin tone!? The other thing I love about this exfoliator is that it soothes your skin and leaves it hydrated. It also eliminates that extra step of moisturizing, once you get out of the shower.
