New York City | Food Diary

4 min read

I recently took a trip to New York City. Although, I saw hundreds of sky scrapers, world class museums, and famous landmarks, my favorite part was the food. 😀 New York’s dining scene has thousands of unique restaurants, and I’m kinda sad I couldn’t try them all. 🙁  Because there are so many, it’s hard to know where to start.  So, here are 9 of my favorite NYC cafes, dessert parlors, and restaurant!

spaghetti incident

231 Eldridge St

I originally visited Spaghetti Incident  for their spaghetti in a cone, but that portion of the restaurant was temporarily closed. That minor inconvenience didn’t stop us from dining on some authentic Italian food. 🙂

cluck's

115 Essex St

cobblestone

117 Queens Blvd

Cobblestone claim’s to have the best buffalo wings in Queens! I didn’t get to taste any buffalo wings in the surrounding area, but I can say these will be hard to beat!

shake shack

409 Fulton St

mango mango

23 St Marks Pl

slyvia's

328 Lenox Ave

I couldn’t go to New York without visiting Sylvia’s. I mean… she’s the Queen of Soul Food, and Ms. Sylvia did not disappoint. I recommend the fried chicken and mashed potatoes.

the stackery

1060 6th Ave

YES, it is as good as it looks! This Nutella filled, graham cracker, bruleed marshmallowy goodness is called Yule Want S’more, and you definitely will. I had eaten so much that day, so I was kinda bummed that I couldn’t finish the entire thing. 🙁

TAQUERIA DIANA

367 Metropolitan Ave

the donut pub

203 W 14th St

In case you couldn’t tell, I have bit of a sweet tooth. So, I couldn’t resist visiting a shop that’s dedicated to DONUTS! If you’re in NYC, and you stop by I recommend the Maple Bacon Donut!
