My Reverse Bucket List | Travel Edition

7 min read

2020 has been such a hectic year, and it’s only May! It started with a WW3 threat, and gradually turned into us being quarantine for months. With all of this going on, it can be easy to lose sight of all of the good things that you’ve achieved. That’s why now, is the perfect time to create a reverse bucket list! A reverse bucket list will help you learn more about yourself, increase your gratitude, and give you a sense of motivation.

Although, I’m doing a travel reverse bucket list, yours doesn’t have to be. You can fill your list with any of your achievements, whether big or small.

My friend, Lynyadia,  is writing her bucket list based on 33 things she’s done in 33 years. It’s also her BIRTHDAY!! 😁 Make sure y’all check out her post here, and wish my fellow gemini, a happy birthday!

Writing this list really allowed me to reflect on all the places I've visted, and all the things I've done. I am eteranally grateful for my mom, because without her none of this would be possible! There is no way I could thank her for all of the things she's done for me.

Belize was probably one of my favorite countries to visit. ☺️ We visited Belize City, Belize in January of 2018. We toured the entire city, learned about it’s beautiful history, climbed the Mayan Ruins of Altun Ha, and drank out of coconuts!

Altun Ha, Belize

I’ve been to Orlando, Florida more times than I can count! haha. 😂 Over the years, my family and I have visited Sea World, Aquatica, Volcano Bay, Island Of Adventures, Hollywood Studios, Lego Land, Universal Studios, Epcot and Disney World!

I fell in LOVE with Honduras! We got amazing views of the country side, went zip lining for the first time, visited a rum factory, held monkeys 🙈🍌, stopped by the beach, and made chocolate at a Honduran chocolate factory!🍫

West Bay

I’ve been to Miami a few times, and it’s still one of my favorite cities to visit! On the coast of Florida, it seems like its beach beautfiul beach is never ending! 🌺 🐚

The Sugar Factory

New York, New York

New York City had been on my bucket list for the longest! This past December, I finally got to experience Christmas in New York!🎅🏾 Yes, it was just like the movies! We walked along the Brooklyn Bridge, saw the Rockette’s perform live, took pictures on the Top of the Rock, visted the 9/11 Museum,  and tried 1 too many local restaurants! We did it, and we did it all in style! Leave it me, to have coordinated  black, white, and red outfits the entire time! ❤️ 🖤

The Florida Keys! My mom, little cousin and I visited Key West for my 19th birthday! I got to go parasailing for the first time. 🪂 And although, we were hundreds of feet above the water, it was probably one of the most calming things I’ve experienced.

Puerta Maya was FUN to say the least! We shopped, explored the town, and danced on poles at Fat Tuesday’s! 😋🛍

I’ve been to Tampa twice, and it gets better every time I visit. My most recent trip was during Spring Break 2k19. My roommates and I took a road trip to Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg, Florida. Check out my post for tips on where to stay, where to eat, and shop! 😊

Nassau, Bahamas

I’ve been to The Bahama’s a few times too! The last time I visited was for a family reunion in 2016, but I plan on going back very soon. 😉

Costa Maya, Mexico

Costa Maya, oh how I love ya! Costa Maya had the best beaches I’ve seen yet! I know everyone who goes on a vacation says ” OMG! Look how blue the water is!” But y’all, look how blue the water is!! haha. 🤣 The water was actually transparent, and you could see the ocean floor! This is the perfect place to go snorkeling, we found a giant conch shell with ease! Veni. Vidi. Amavi. 😉🌴💕🍃🌸

thanks for all the mems Mexico 🌴

Greenville, South Carolina

In the words of TLC “Don’t go chasing waterfalls”! But that’s exactly what we did! We traveled about 4 hours outside of Georgia, and got a glimpse of these amazing falls in downtown Greenville. 😌 This was my first time seeing waterfalls, and it did not disappoint.

Cozumel, Mexico

I visited Mexico 3 times in 2018, and Cozumel was quite the experience. We caught a catamaran to a private island, and went snorkeling in a coral reef. 😄 The fish literally looked like this: 🐠
